My training finally started in full. I have almost no down time for the next two months. At least I get a week in Vegas coming up to unwind.

I started a mixed martial arts class last week. It was a blast. I can't wait to go to my second class on wednesday.

Well, honestly, I was expecting the guys kempo class, but no, I walked into an mma training class. Half the guys in there are seriously training for local and regional cmopetition in a UFC style octagon. But, hell with it, I'm just throwing myself in there.

We worked standup sparring drills for about 20 minutes after our warmup, then went into an hours worth of jujitsu. I had a lot more fun and think I've got a more instinctual talent for groundfighting than I do for the standup stuff, but if it's worth doing it's worth doing right, so I'm gonna work for excellence at all of it.

And it doesn't help that my job is working me so hard at such weird ass hours that I'm practically dead on my feat every single day. Just wait until the NCAA tournament starts. I'll be on 12-hour days.
